Keyondra and Jazmin 4/11/13 The Greek Myths: The Gods that we chose for the Greek Myths are Cyclopes, his brother Tidmis and Invisible. Cyclopes controls the underworld and he is very aggressive. Cyclopes would attack anyone or anything that gets in his way all day everyday he carries his thunder bolt around because he doesn’t trust anyone except his former brother Tidamis. People often complain about Cyclopes because he is so evil. Cyclopes will only accept you if you are as evil as him and he is very impulsive. Tidamis is in charge of the sky he always carries a sliver thunder bolt around his back and Tidamis is nothing like his brother he’s way sweeter but if you get in his way he will destroy you his saying is “ IF YOU DON’T GET IN MY WAY I WONT BOTHER YOU OR KILL YOU SO JUST STAY AWAY “. Jazmins gods name is invisible he can control everybody’s minds and can tell them what to do. People can’t tell if he is human or not and they don’t understand if he is. They want to know why he can read, control, make them his slaves and make them do whatever he wants them to. If they don’t do what he say’s he will fight them, kill them or abuse them. He wants to control the whole underworld but that’s Cyclopes job and he doesn’t like him because he wants the control the underworld but he can’t. He wants to find Cyclopes to kill him so he can control the underworld. He said whenever I find this Cyclopes guy I’m going to kill him and take over the underworld and everyone will be my slaves. Invisible is very displeased with Cyclopes because he feels like he should have been reborn to take over the underworld. But he is going to try to submit the rules of the underworld.

Characters: Frankie- drug dealer, Spanish, 19, sentenced to prison for drug possession and gun charge Brittani- Frankie’s girlfriend, Spanish, looks out for Frankie, 15, works in diner to help family, gets raped. Rose- homeless, trying to get her life back on track, 23, white, dies Bobby- blamed for a murder that his best friend has committed, black, 18, he lost everything
Theme: Drama
Setting: It’s hard out here in the city of Compton . Many people try to survive, but many have failed to do so. The people in the city of Compton goes faces many obstacles that try to over run their lives. This play is going to introduce you to four brave and talented people that go through the struggles that other people face in their daily lives. Here’s where we’re going to begin with a young drug dealer named Frankie who got too caught up to the game……..
SCENE 1: Frankie
(A homeless man goes towards Frankie to get the neighborhood goodies)
Homeless man- “Yo my man you that got for me?”
Frankie- “I got everything you need my guy.”
(Frankie calls Brittani to bring the neighbor hood goodies. A few minutes later Brittani showed up in Frankie’s Black Honda.)
Brittani- “Here baby these goodies are smellin’ right, fresh off the market.”
Frankie- “Here you go my man, but once you try this you don't wanna stop, but make sure you stay low not tryin' to have the feds on my block .”
Homeless man- " No problem my guy your secret is safe with me."
(The homeless man took off his clothes and under those clothes turned out to be a police officer.)
Frankie- "OH SNAP IT'S THE FEDS!”
Police Officer- "FREEZE!"
( Frankie pulls out a glock nine automatic machine pistol and begins to fire at the police Officer luckily the police officer had a bullet proof vest. The police officer chases after Frankie and tackles him to the ground.)
Police Officer- “Where did you think you were going to go huh buddy?"
Frankie- “Man I'm just trying to survive and bring something back home on the table."
Police officer- "No excuses; You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can and will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as they have been read to you?"
Frankie- “Yes I do understand I ain't deaf”
(Frankie spits and the police officers' face and smile with a large smirk on his face.)
Police Officer- “Now you've done it!"
(Frankie is going to the police station to answer some questions)
Police Officer- “We got off to a wrong start. Hello my name is Officer Rodriguez and your name is?”
Frankie- “My name is Frankie Lopez and I would like to call my lawyer because I’m innocent those drugs ain’t mine and neither is the gun. I’m telling you the truth I’m innocent.
Officer Rodriguez- “So where’d you get the drugs from if it isn’t yours and who’s gun was it if it’s not yours?”
(Frankie stays quiet. His expression on his face looked as if he just seen a ghost. He begins to feel impatient with what’s happening.)
Officer Rodriguez- “We’ll if you’re not going to answer then I guess I have to take you in.”
(A few weeks later Frankie goes to court and goes down for drug and gun charges. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.)
(Brittani is crying while walking home after Frankie's hearing at the supreme court house)
Brittani- “Great I just lost the one person that means the world to me. Without Frankie I have no body.”
Rose- "Excuse me but, I was wondering if you can give me some change I don't have no where else to go and I haven't eaten for five days. The clothes on my body is all I have left."
Brittani- "I'm sorry but, I'm not in the mood I'm really stressing out and I just need to clear my mind I'm sorry."
Rose- "Don't let the negative take over you no matter what your stressing about always think and stay positive about the situation."
Brittani- "I'll try my best to."
Rose- "Well any how my name is Rose. What's your name?"
Brittani- "My name is Brittani, well nice talkin' to you lady."
Rose- "It was nice talking to you to."
(Later on that night Brittani had to work over time at the diner. During her shift only three men were left.)
Owner- "Hey Brittani can you close up the diner for me after those three men leave."
Brittani- "Sure Jeff that wouldn't be a problem for me."
Jeff- "Thank you i truly appreciate it."
(Jeff who is the owner of the diner exits the restaurant)
Customer- "Excuse me miss can I get a check."
Brittani- "Here's your check sir."
(After Brittani finishes her shift and is beginning to close up the restaurant the three men had returned)
Brittani- "Can i help yous with something?"
Male #1- "Yes i was wondering if we can get some dessert."
Brittani-"Well the restaurant is closed so no you can't."
Male #2- "He wasn't talking about that kind of dessert."
Man #3- "LETS GET HER!"
Brittani- "PLEASE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!"(Tears running down her face)
Man #1- "SHUT HER UP NOW!"
Man #2- "Don't worry this will only take a minute."
(An hour later the three men leave leaving Brittani hurt on the floor. She runs to the nearest pay phone and calls 911)
911- "Hello this is 911 what is your emergency?"
Brittani- "I've just been raped by three men, please help me.”
911-"Ma'am i need you to remain we're you're at and stay calm help is on the way."
(Fifteen minutes later the police showed up and Brittani described the three males that rapped her)
Brittani- “Two were African American males and one was spanish they were between the age of eighteen and nineteen."
Police Officer- "Don't worry we're going to catch these gentlemen and bring them to justice."
(4 years later the three men are caught and Frankie gets out of prison due to good behavior but, is still on parol for a few months and heard about what happened to Brittani. Frankie sees Brittani in front of the prison waiting for him and runs to her.)
Frankie- "Baby i missed you so much and i heard about what happened from the letter your mom sent me. I know I've been gone for a while but, I'm leaving my past behind and me and you are getting out of here to start a fresh life and i promise that I'll never leave your side again."
Brittani- "Never leave me again Frankie I never want to lose you again. I love you Frankie please don’t leave my side." (Hugging Frankie tightly around his waist)
Frankie- "From here on out baby I'm never going to leave your side ever again."
(A couple months later Frankie and Brittani moved to Florida and had a child together. Both Brittani and Frankie are college graduates now owning their own business.)
Jeff- “Excuse me ma’am but you can’t stay here I’m losin’ business by having you here.”
Rose-“I’m sorry sir I’ll leave.”
Jeff- “Freaking bum.”
(Jeff the restaurant owner whispers.)
Rose – (Stating in her conscience) “I didn’t want to end up like this but I had no choice I was not eligible to pay my bills so there fore I was evicted from my apartment and left to rot on the streets. I have no one else in my life just me. I was once a college graduate and now I’m nothing.”
(Rose starts walking down the street then turns the corner and finds a wooden crate in an ally that’s big enough for her to sleep in. She then begins to reflect on her self and her past before she was homeless.)
Rose- “Some day I’m going to get my life back on track. I’m not going to give up just yet; I just have to concentrate on how to do it that’s all.” (Later on that night rose hears someone screaming it sounded like a male’s voice. She leaves her crate and sees three black men. One was on the floor, the other was hitting him, and the third one was holding a gun.)
Male #3- "You tried to rat me out when we were at that diner and i rapped that waitress at that diner we went to. Bobby hold him down."
Bobby- "This ain't part of the plan Ricky."
Ricky- "Do you want me to kill you instead."
Bobby- "No i don't."
Ricky- "Alright so hold him down."
(Rose knocks down a trash can)
Ricky- “Who’s there?”
Rose- (rose stands up) “I’m not trying to start any trouble but, please leave this poor man alone.”
Bobby- “Ma’am with all do respect this ain’t your business and I’m not trying to see anyone get killed I’m just doing what I was told to do I don’t have a choice.”
Male #1- “Please let me go. Please.”
Ricky- “SHUT UP BEFORE I PUT A BULLET IN YOUR HEAD!”
Male #1- “Please just let me go.”
(A shot ringed out the male on the floor was killed)

(So Now They Leave The House and They Drive All The Way To The Other side Of Town Of Philly And Now They Pull Up To where His Cousin Tj Lives)
Tj:Yo Whats Good Cuz ?
Poopy:How You Been Fam?
Tj:Same Old Same Ole Just Trying To Get This Money But Come On Inside
(Micky and Ronnie Get Out The Car And Tj Gives Them a Strange Look And Then He Stops Poopy)

The hard life in the city
Characters:
Frankie- drug dealer, Spanish, 19, sentenced to prison for drug possession and gun charge
Brittani- Frankie’s girlfriend, Spanish, looks out for Frankie, 15, works in diner to help family, gets raped.
Rose- homeless, trying to get her life back on track, 23, white, dies
Bobby- blamed for a murder that his best friend has committed, black, 18, he lost everything
Theme: Drama
Setting: It’s hard out here in the city of Compton . Many people try to survive, but many have failed to do so. The people in the city of Compton goes faces many obstacles that try to over run their lives. This play is going to introduce you to four brave and talented people that go through the struggles that other people face in their daily lives. Here’s where we’re going to begin with a young drug dealer named Frankie who got too caught up to the game……..
SCENE 1: Frankie
(A homeless man goes towards Frankie to get the neighborhood goodies)
Homeless man- “Yo my man you that got for me?”
Frankie- “I got everything you need my guy.”
(Frankie calls Brittani to bring the neighbor hood goodies. A few minutes later Brittani showed up in Frankie’s Black Honda.)
Brittani- “Here baby these goodies are smellin’ right, fresh off the market.”
Frankie- “Here you go my man, but once you try this you don't wanna stop, but make sure you stay low not tryin' to have the feds on my block .”
Homeless man- " No problem my guy your secret is safe with me."
(The homeless man took off his clothes and under those clothes turned out to be a police officer.)
Frankie- "OH SNAP IT'S THE FEDS!”
Police Officer- "FREEZE!"
( Frankie pulls out a glock nine automatic machine pistol and begins to fire at the police Officer luckily the police officer had a bullet proof vest. The police officer chases after Frankie and tackles him to the ground.)
Police Officer- “Where did you think you were going to go huh buddy?"
Frankie- “Man I'm just trying to survive and bring something back home on the table."
Police officer- "No excuses; You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can and will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as they have been read to you?"
Frankie- “Yes I do understand I ain't deaf”
(Frankie spits and the police officers' face and smile with a large smirk on his face.)
Police Officer- “Now you've done it!"
(Frankie is going to the police station to answer some questions)
Police Officer- “We got off to a wrong start. Hello my name is Officer Rodriguez and your name is?”
Frankie- “My name is Frankie Lopez and I would like to call my lawyer because I’m innocent those drugs ain’t mine and neither is the gun. I’m telling you the truth I’m innocent.
Officer Rodriguez- “So where’d you get the drugs from if it isn’t yours and who’s gun was it if it’s not yours?”
(Frankie stays quiet. His expression on his face looked as if he just seen a ghost. He begins to feel impatient with what’s happening.)
Officer Rodriguez- “We’ll if you’re not going to answer then I guess I have to take you in.”
(A few weeks later Frankie goes to court and goes down for drug and gun charges. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.)
Scene 2: Brittani
ReplyDelete(Brittani is crying while walking home after Frankie's hearing at the supreme court house)
Brittani- “Great I just lost the one person that means the world to me. Without Frankie I have no body.”
Rose- "Excuse me but, I was wondering if you can give me some change I don't have no where else to go and I haven't eaten for five days. The clothes on my body is all I have left."
Brittani- "I'm sorry but, I'm not in the mood I'm really stressing out and I just need to clear my mind I'm sorry."
Rose- "Don't let the negative take over you no matter what your stressing about always think and stay positive about the situation."
Brittani- "I'll try my best to."
Rose- "Well any how my name is Rose. What's your name?"
Brittani- "My name is Brittani, well nice talkin' to you lady."
Rose- "It was nice talking to you to."
(Later on that night Brittani had to work over time at the diner. During her shift only three men were left.)
Owner- "Hey Brittani can you close up the diner for me after those three men leave."
Brittani- "Sure Jeff that wouldn't be a problem for me."
Jeff- "Thank you i truly appreciate it."
(Jeff who is the owner of the diner exits the restaurant)
Customer- "Excuse me miss can I get a check."
Brittani- "Here's your check sir."
(After Brittani finishes her shift and is beginning to close up the restaurant the three men had returned)
Brittani- "Can i help yous with something?"
Male #1- "Yes i was wondering if we can get some dessert."
Brittani-"Well the restaurant is closed so no you can't."
Male #2- "He wasn't talking about that kind of dessert."
Man #3- "LETS GET HER!"
Brittani- "PLEASE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!"(Tears running down her face)
Man #1- "SHUT HER UP NOW!"
Man #2- "Don't worry this will only take a minute."
(An hour later the three men leave leaving Brittani hurt on the floor. She runs to the nearest pay phone and calls 911)
911- "Hello this is 911 what is your emergency?"
Brittani- "I've just been raped by three men, please help me.”
911-"Ma'am i need you to remain we're you're at and stay calm help is on the way."
(Fifteen minutes later the police showed up and Brittani described the three males that rapped her)
Brittani- “Two were African American males and one was spanish they were between the age of eighteen and nineteen."
Police Officer- "Don't worry we're going to catch these gentlemen and bring them to justice."
(4 years later the three men are caught and Frankie gets out of prison due to good behavior but, is still on parol for a few months and heard about what happened to Brittani. Frankie sees Brittani in front of the prison waiting for him and runs to her.)
Frankie- "Baby i missed you so much and i heard about what happened from the letter your mom sent me. I know I've been gone for a while but, I'm leaving my past behind and me and you are getting out of here to start a fresh life and i promise that I'll never leave your side again."
Brittani- "Never leave me again Frankie I never want to lose you again. I love you Frankie please don’t leave my side." (Hugging Frankie tightly around his waist)
Frankie- "From here on out baby I'm never going to leave your side ever again."
(A couple months later Frankie and Brittani moved to Florida and had a child together. Both Brittani and Frankie are college graduates now owning their own business.)
Scene 3: Rose
ReplyDeleteJeff- “Excuse me ma’am but you can’t stay here I’m losin’ business by having you here.”
Rose-“I’m sorry sir I’ll leave.”
Jeff- “Freaking bum.”
(Jeff the restaurant owner whispers.)
Rose – (Stating in her conscience) “I didn’t want to end up like this but I had no choice I was not eligible to pay my bills so there fore I was evicted from my apartment and left to rot on the streets. I have no one else in my life just me. I was once a college graduate and now I’m nothing.”
(Rose starts walking down the street then turns the corner and finds a wooden crate in an ally that’s big enough for her to sleep in. She then begins to reflect on her self and her past before she was homeless.)
Rose- “Some day I’m going to get my life back on track. I’m not going to give up just yet; I just have to concentrate on how to do it that’s all.”
(Later on that night rose hears someone screaming it sounded like a male’s voice. She leaves her crate and sees three black men. One was on the floor, the other was hitting him, and the third one was holding a gun.)
Male #3- "You tried to rat me out when we were at that diner and i rapped that waitress at that diner we went to. Bobby hold him down."
Bobby- "This ain't part of the plan Ricky."
Ricky- "Do you want me to kill you instead."
Bobby- "No i don't."
Ricky- "Alright so hold him down."
(Rose knocks down a trash can)
Ricky- “Who’s there?”
Rose- (rose stands up) “I’m not trying to start any trouble but, please leave this poor man alone.”
Bobby- “Ma’am with all do respect this ain’t your business and I’m not trying to see anyone get killed I’m just doing what I was told to do I don’t have a choice.”
Male #1- “Please let me go. Please.”
Ricky- “SHUT UP BEFORE I PUT A BULLET IN YOUR HEAD!”
Male #1- “Please just let me go.”
(A shot ringed out the male on the floor was killed)
Rose-“OMG WHAT DID YOU DO YOU MURDERER!”
Ricky- “What did you just say to me?”
(Another shot ringed out and rose was killed)
Ricky- “BOBBY WE GOTTA GO NOW!”
