The lights rise upon Mercedes, who is standing on the stage. Jordan can be heard snoozing softly behind stage. Lexi and Chase cannot be seen, as they are controlling the lights, but actually just in the middle of making out and yelling at each other, if that is possible. Mercedes: Ah, baby, there you are!
Alana begins to respond, but once she realizes that Mercedes is taking to Elsa, she shuts up.
Elsa: Where’s everybody else? Mercedes: I figure Lexi and Chase are doing something they SHOULDN’T be doing in my playhouse, and if I catch them, I’m going to stomp on them with my 6 inch heels.
Scrambling can be heard as Lexi and Chase get up and move away from each other.
Elsa: Where’s that tool, Noah? We were supposed to go over lines. Mercedes: I don’t know, wasn’t he with you? Elsa: For a moment, until I started screaming. He’s such a jerk. Mercedes: I thought you loved him. Honey, what happened? Tell Mercedes. Elsa: Well, for starters, he cheated on me. Mercedes: Nothing else even needs to be said! Ooh, that boy is crazy to cheat on you? What little skank did he sleep with? Elsa: I don’t even know! All I know is that he kept on chatting with some girl named ‘Angel’ all the time. Late night calls, skyping, and finally, I just left him Alana: Angel is his sister… She has cancer… Elsa: Did you hear that? Mercedes: Must have been the wind. Anyway, what a little insect! As Mercedes and Elsa go on about boy problems, Jordan crosses over to Alana, as he’s just been pretending to sleep. He goes up behind her, and puts his head on her shoulder, even though he’s about a foot and a half taller than her.
Alana: Jordan! What are you doing! Jordan: Chilling, watching the show~. Alana: On my shoulder? Jordan: It’s a good place to watch~! Alana: Whatever… Wait… You can see me. Jordan: Duh… It’s not like you’re a ghost… Or are you~? Alana: No, no. Just nobody ever really sees me. So thanks. Jordan: Being superficial isn’t part of my policy~. Life is all about just going with the flow and being good to everybody~. Alana: Wish more people were like that… Jordan: Then make it happen~. Alana: How? Jordan: By actually being good and make yourself noticed~. Stand up for other people, be good to people, and be you.
Hearing those words, Alana stands up a bit straighter, and walks right up to Elsa and Mercedes to tell them about what’s really going on with Noah. The scene ends.

Elsa falls to the floor and begins to sob. Nobody moves to comfort her besides Noah and Alana.

Mercedes steps in front of the rest of the cast.
Mercedes: WELL! Now that we’ve settled that, it’s a couple minutes until opening, and we’ve got to get ready. Alana, I want YOU to be our leading lady. Alana: What? Me? Why? That’s Elsa’s part. Elsa: No… No, Mercedes is right. You deserve to be a star for once. Alana: Oh, oh thank you!
Alana hugs both Elsa and Mercedes, and then they all run backstage to get ready as the rest of the actors that work there pour in. Lexi and Chase are the only ones left on the stage.

This will help us coordinate this program more and have field trips, and food that we can have at here. Me and Mr. Paul will try are very best to keep it a safe environment and fun for you guys. The Gods that we chose for the Greek Myths are Cyclopes, his brother Tidmus and Invisible. Cyclopes controls the underworld and he is very aggressive. Cyclopes would attack anyone or anything that gets in his way all day everyday he carries his thunder bolt around because he doesn’t trust anyone except his former brother Tidamis. Tidamis is in charge of the sky he always carries a sliver thunder bolt around his back and Tidamis is nothing like his brother he’s way sweeter but if you get in his way he will destroy you his saying is “ IF YOU DON’T GET IN MY WAY I WONT BOTHER YOU OR KILL YOU SO JUST STAY AWAY “. Jazmins gods name is invisible he can control everybody’s minds and can tell them what to do. People can’t tell if he is human or not and they don’t understand if he is. They want to know why he can read, control, make them his slaves and make them do whatever he wants them to. If they don’t do what he say’s he will fight them, kill them or abuse them. He wants to control the whole underworld but that’s Cyclopes job and he doesn’t like him because he wants the control the underworld but he cant. He wants to find Cyclopes to kill him so he can control the underworld. He said whenever I find this Cyclopes guy I going to kill him and take over the underworld and everyone will be my slaves.
Zeus Zeus and his brother Hades never liked each other and they always argued. They would battle each other and really try to hurt one another. When they got older they never spoke to each other or even looked at each other. They hated each other so much that they wished death upon another. Zeus had made a deal with an evil god, Commadis. Rose- homeless, trying to get her life back on track, 23, white Bobby- blamed for a murder that his best friend has committed, black, 18, he lost everything Theme: Drama
Setting: It’s hard out here in the city of Compton. Many people try to survive, but many have failed to do so. The people in the city of Compton goes faces many obstacles that try to over run their lives. This play is going to introduce you to four brave and talented people that go through the struggles that other people face in their daily lives. Here’s where we’re going to begin with a young drug dealer named Frankie who got too caught up to the game……..
(A homeless man goes towards Frankie to get the neighborhood goodies)
Homeless man- “Yo Frankie you that got for me?”
Frankie- “I got everything you need my guy.”

The boys look up at one another and suddenly get up . They head outside and walk toward the harvest because they had no food in their kitchen.
Jorge : Go get the brown bucket in back of the house and be careful Israel !
Israel : AHHHHHHHHH !
Jorge runs toward the back of the house and spots Israel on the floor. He has a small wound on his leg.
Israel: I was trying to get the bucket but I ended up slipping on one of mama's scarf.

Abigail is a old women that had a beautiful purple skirt with a white blouse . The boys were disturbed by the fact that they haven't found their mother yet.
Abigail : Boys my name is Abigail but call me Senora Abigail. I will be your mother from now on. Don't be scared boys I would never hurt you . I once had a son like you that I loved so much and I lost too.
Jorge : I'm so sorry we disturbed you from praying.
Senora Abigail : It's alright no need to be sorry. Today I knew I came for a reason and I think God wanted me to met you boys and help you two out.
Senora Abigail stares down the boys feet
Senor Abigail : Oh my ! are you boys okay ?

The boys were heading outside the house when they spot a women with black straight hair . They run toward her and she turns around.
Jorge : Mama ! Mama !
Israel : Why did you leave us ?
Mom (Maria) : I'm sorry babies , I was an idot try to get myself mad with all I have in this world. I came back when I found out that your father left to work for 2 weeks. I thought you two would be home but you guys weren't.
Israel: Oh ! we were actually at Senora Abigail house.
(Mom) Maria : Who is Senora Abigail ?
Jorge: A nice women we met at church and took us to school and feed us.
Mom(Maria): Where is she and how did you get does shoes on your feet ?

Police Officer- “Where did you think you were going to go huh buddy?"
Frankie- “Man I'm just trying to survive and bring something back home on the table."
Police officer- "No excuses; You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can and will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as they have been read to you?"
Frankie- “Yes I do understand I ain't deaf”
(Frankie spits and the police officers' face and smile with a large smirk on his face.)
Police Officer- “Now you've done it!"
(Frankie is going to the police station to answer some questions)
Police Officer- “We got off to a wrong start. Hello my name is Officer Rodriguez and your name is?”
Frankie- “My name is Frankie Lopez and I would like to call my lawyer because I’m innocent those drugs ain’t mine and neither is the gun. I’m telling you the truth I’m innocent.
Officer Rodriguez- “So where’d you get the drugs from if it isn’t yours and who’s gun was it if it’s not yours?”
(Frankie stays quiet. His expression on his face looked as if he just seen a ghost. He begins to feel impatient with what’s happening.)
Officer Rodriguez- “We’ll if you’re not going to answer then I guess I have to take you in.”

The hard life in the city
Characters:
Frankie- drug dealer, Spanish, 19
Brittani- Frankie’s girlfriend, Spanish, looks out for Frankie, 15, prostitute to help family.
Rose- homeless, trying to get her life back on track, 23, white
Bobby- blamed for a murder that his best friend has committed, black, 18, he lost everything
Theme: Drama
Setting: It’s hard out here in the city of Compton. Many people try to survive, but many have failed to do so. The people in the city of Compton goes faces many obstacles that try to over run their lives. This play is going to introduce you to four brave and talented people that go through the struggles that other people face in their daily lives. Here’s where we’re going to begin with a young drug dealer named Frankie who got too caught up to the game……..
(A homeless man goes towards Frankie to get the neighborhood goodies)
Homeless man- “Yo Frankie you that got for me?”
Frankie- “I got everything you need my guy.”
(Frankie calls Brittani to bring the neighbor hood goodies. A few minutes later brittani show up in Frankie’s Black Honda.)
Brittani- “Here baby these goodies are smellin’ right, fresh off the market.”
Frankie- “Here you go my man, but once you take ain’t gonna stop, but make sure you stay low.”

Jorge : What happened ?
Israel : Look over there !
Jorge : At those school boys ?
Israel : yes look how lucky they are.
Jorge : they are very lucky.
The boys look up at one another and suddenly get up . They head outside and walk toward the harvest because they had no food in their kitchen.
Jorge : Go get the brown bucket in back of the house and be careful Israel !
Israel : AHHHHHHHHH !
Jorge runs toward the back of the house and spots Israel on the floor. He has a small wound on his leg.
Israel: I was trying to get the bucket but I ended up slipping on one of mama's scarf.
Jorge : Her Scarf ?
Israel : Yeah look !
Jorge : This is weird why would mama's scarf be here.
Israel : I don't know but it's here .
They boys stare off and silence invades…..
They no longer were hunger anymore
Israel : Do you remember what you promised me yesterday ?
Jorge : Yes , I do remember . Why ?
Israel: Lets go then !
Jorge : Israel I just hope we don't hurt our feet . They are very sore and we can't stand the hot pavement plus we are too little to leave the house.
Israel : Please ….
Jorge : Alright but put a rag on your foot . I don't want you to hurt yourself especially when daddy isn't here.
Israel : you put on a rag too .
The boys were heading to the church . It was very hot outside , sweat was running down there forehead. They headed inside the church and see a women with a purple scarf over her head in front of the alter.
Scene 4

Jorge : It's Mama !
Israel : Mama! Mama! Mama!
The young boys run toward the women that had a purple scarf and end up hugging her .
Abigail: Awwww…. Little boys are you okay ? Do you need food , or shelter.
The boys look up at the women and end up realizing it's not there mother but a stranger.
Jorge : We are sorry , we thought you were Mama .
Abigail : It's okay boys , you seem like your hungry.
Israel : Yeah , we haven't ate at all.
Abigail : Where are your parents?
Silence arose & then broke free.
Israel: Our mother left us we have no one but our father . He went to a work trip for 2 weeks and we are home by ourselves. We thought you were our mother because of the scarf you had it looked like one of Mama's scarf .
Abigail is a old women that had a beautiful purple skirt with a white blouse . The boys were disturbed by the fact that they haven't found their mother yet.
Abigail : Boys my name is Abigail but call me Senora Abigail. I will be your mother from now on. Don't be scared boys I would never hurt you . I once had a son like you that I loved so much and I lost too.
Jorge : I'm so sorry we disturbed you from praying.
Senora Abigail : It's alright no need to be sorry. Today I knew I came for a reason and I think God wanted me to met you boys and help you two out.
Senora Abigail stares down the boys feet
Senor Abigail : Oh my ! are you boys okay ?
Israel : No, my feet hurt.
Jorge : Mines does too.
Senor Abigail : Come with me home. I will put you two in school and take care of you from now on.
Israel: What about our father ?
Senora Abigail : Don't worry you will see him.
They headed to Senora Abigail house and entered in.
Senora Abigail : Do you boys want mole ?
Israel : Yes , please
Jorge : Thank you a lot for all your doing for us. I'm sorry i'm poor and I can't pay you for this but someday I will.
The boys stay at Senor Abigail house for 2 weeks until their father comes. Senora Abigail gave them what they always wish for which was going to school, and having someone who cared for them.
Israel : I don't want to leave Jorge.
Jorge : We have to she is nice enough to help us with the whole situation. We can't take advantage of her.

ReplyDeleteThe boys were heading outside the house when they spot a women with black straight hair . They run toward her and she turns around.
Jorge : Mama ! Mama !
Israel : Why did you leave us ?
Mom (Maria) : I'm sorry babies , I was an idot try to get myself mad with all I have in this world. I came back when I found out that your father left to work for 2 weeks. I thought you two would be home but you guys weren't.
Israel: Oh ! we were actually at Senora Abigail house.
(Mom) Maria : Who is Senora Abigail ?
Jorge: A nice women we met at church and took us to school and feed us.
Mom(Maria): Where is she and how did you get does shoes on your feet ?
Jorge: Senora Abigail bought us shoes & she lives over there. She knew we where going home and that tomorrow we were going to come see her house after school.
Israel: She also pays for our school.
Mom (Maria): What matters is that both of you are safe and that everything is going to get better I promise.

(The homeless man took off his clothes and under those clothes turned out to be a police officer.)
Frankie- "OH SNAP IT'S THE FEDS!”
Police Officer- "FREEZE!"
( Frankie pulls out a glock nine automatic machine pistol and begins to fire at the police Officer luckily the police officer had a bullet proof vest. The police officer chases after Frankie and tackles him to the ground.)
Police Officer- “Where did you think you were going to go huh buddy?"
Frankie- “Man I'm just trying to survive and bring something back home on the table."
Police officer- "No excuses; You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can and will be held against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights as they have been read to you?"
Frankie- “Yes I do understand I ain't deaf”
(Frankie spits and the police officers' face and smile with a large smirk on his face.)
Police Officer- “Now you've done it!"
(Frankie is going to the police station to answer some questions)
Police Officer- “We got off to a wrong start. Hello my name is Officer Rodriguez and your name is?”
Frankie- “My name is Frankie Lopez and I would like to call my lawyer because I’m innocent those drugs ain’t mine and neither is the gun. I’m telling you the truth I’m innocent.
Officer Rodriguez- “So where’d you get the drugs from if it isn’t yours and who’s gun was it if it’s not yours?”
(Frankie stays quiet. His expression on his face looked as if he just seen a ghost. He begins to feel impatient with what’s happening.)
Officer Rodriguez- “We’ll if you’re not going to answer then I guess I have to take you in.”
(A few weeks later Frankie goes to court and goes down for drug and gun charges. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.)
